Andhra Bank has recently closed the registration for probationary officers and recruitment of clerks throughout India. The test will take place 8 May, 2011 for PO and 15 May, 2011 for clerks. The information will be of Andhra Bank Admit Card or Ticket Hall or call letters.

The hall ticket admit card / call letter / will be delivered to the address where the candidates filled out the application form. But for some reason if the candidate has not received the admit card Andhra Bank in 2011, they can download their admit card call letters / the official website of Andhra Bank online.

Procedure: You must enter your password and registration number of record ID / that you got after submitting an application form online to download admit card or letter of appeal.

Important Dates:  For Probationary officers exams, if a candidate doesn't receive admit card by 2 May, 2011, you have to download duplicate admit card /call letters online through the official website of the bank from 3 May to 7 May 2011.

For Clerks exams,  if a candidate doesn't received admit card / hall ticket by 9 may, 2011, you have to download duplicate admit card/ call letters online through the official website of the bank from 10 may to 14 May 2011.

You can contact the Andhra bank head office of the city with original payment fee receipt, in case you get any problem during downloading admit card 2011.

15 Tips on preparation for Andhra Pradesh PG Entrance Exam (APPG)

1.decide to read 10-12 hrs /day

2.follow a strict schedule.

3.exam date is fixed ..ie in month of feb for sure….
so only 7 months to go…20 subjects to read.

4.need NOT join any coachin classes if ur determined to settle soon in life without wasting time.
5.write weekly tests.

6.follow salgunan…solve every subject from backwards till 1995 yr bits retrospectively.

7.read standard text books cover to cover…that too in a mcq oriented mind..not like prep for final exam.

8.if u follow the previous papers of ap pg carefully,final yr part1 &2 subjects make up nearly 150 marks…so concentrate on them.

9.short books are only for revision.not the main books..use them judiciously.

10.prepare gist of tough,nagging qs.

11.dont waste time on unnecessary resultless discussions….try to group discuss but only entr oriented.

12.prep must be intensive not extensive.

13.jan 2007 and feb are for revision, omkarnath appg book and ur notes.

14.finally,exam hall prep..is a ,must…..3 hrs,pen marking…..so be careful..think twice before u ink.

15.lastly,if u see the last 2 yrs the Qs r predomin clinical oriented…like AIIMS…so better if u have time go through amit guptas aiims prepg,or choudarys doctor publications PGI prepg….

1. How do I download my call letter?
Follow the link from bank’s website to download call letter. At login page, enter the
REGISTRATION NO. & PASSWORD

or
REGISTRATION NO. & DATE OF BIRTH
at the required places to download the Call Letter.
2. What should I do if there is lot of delay in accessing the page?
Internet based Call letter download depends on various factors like Internet Speed, large number of Applicants trying to download the Call Letter at the same time etc. Therefore, if you are not able to download the Call Letter immediately, please retry after a gap of 5 minutes or during off-peak hours during the night.
3. Where do I get the REGISTRATION NO. & PASSWORD?
REGISTRATION NO. & PASSWORD are generated at the time of registration and displayed on the screen. These are also sent to the candidateimmediately upon successful registration, by way of auto generated email acknowledgement, at the email address registered by him.
4. My DATE OF BIRTH is rejected on login screen?
Candidate should ensure that the DATE OF BIRTH is same as he had entered at the time of registration. Candidate can refer the APPLICATION PRINT for the DATE OF BIRTH entered by him.
5. I am unable to login / screen displays the login failed message?
Please check yourentries in login screen. You should use REGISTRATION NO. & PASSWORD as received at the time of registration by displaying on the screen and also mailed to you in auto generated email acknowledgement. Please note that the PASSWORD is case-sensitive, and should be entered correctly. Also, make sure that the DATE OF BIRTH you have entered is same as you entered at the time of registration and printed in the application print.
6. I have registered more than one application?
In case you have registered more than once, only last registration is retained. Therefore, to download your Call Letter, you must enter the registration No. of the application that you submitted last.
7. I am unable to generate call letter?
Candidates are advised to attempt login for downloading call letter at least 3 to 5 times at different time period, if still unsuccessful, they may contact the Organisation and / or write to us at callletter_helpdesk@ibpsorg.co.in with the text of auto-generated email received at the time of registration or scanned copy of registered application.

Any communication without scanned copy of registered application or auto generated email (received at the time of registration) will not be entertained.

Admission notification for Ph.D (Neuroscience) and Integrated Ph.D (Neuroscience) programmes for the academic year 2011-2012

National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) is a premier institution engaged in research in the frontier areas of Neuroscience to understand the function of healthy and diseased brain. With the goal to provide seamless transition from classroom training to high-quality research in challenging areas of Neuroscience, NBRC offers Ph.D and Integrated Ph.D programmes in Neuroscience for exceptionally meritorious and motivated students

Admissions for the year 2011 will be through a written test followed by a 2-tier interview. In this regard, NBRC invites applications for its Ph.D and Integrated Ph.D programmes. The research areas in NBRC are broadly divided into

Molecular and cellular neuroscience; systems and cognitive neuroscience; computational neuroscience and neuro imaging

In addition to basic aspect, research projects focus on translational and clinical neuroscience also

Eligibility

Ph.D (Neuroscience): Master's degree or equivalent in any branch of science such as life science/physics/chemistry/mathematics/statistics/computer application/pharmacy/ veterinary science/psychology; or a minimum of four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering/technology/medicine

Candidates appearing for final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply

Integrated Ph.D (Neuroscience): Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any branch of science such as life science/physics/chemistry/mathematics/statistics/computer applications/ pharmacy/veterinary science/psychology/engineering/technology/medicine

On successful completion of the Integrated Ph.D programme the students will be awarded both an M.Sc and a Ph.D degree

Only the candidates with a track record of at least 55% (for SC/ST/PH candidates 50%) marks (no rounding off; candidates should mention their percentage calculated up to two decimal points) or equivalent grade from secondary (10th) examination onwards will be considered to be called for the written test

Mere fulfillment of minimum requirement will not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview

Only the candidates called for the interview will be paid ordinary sleeper class train fare from the nearest railway station, on production of tickets

The written test will consist of 2 sections

Section-1 will have questions on general knowledge or general awareness related to science

Sections-2 will have questions on the subjects-Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology

In section 2, the candidates are required to attempt questions on any 3 subjects. All the questions will be multiple choice type

The candidates will have to attempt both the sections and be in the required merit to be considered to be called for the interview

The difficulty level of questions on the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be of higher secondary (10+2) level for both written tests for Integrated Ph.D and Ph.D programmes. However, the difficulty level of questions on the subject Biology for Integrated Ph.D will of B.Sc (pass) level for Integrated Ph.D programme and it will be of B.Sc (Hons) i.e. slightly higher than B.Sc (pass) level for Ph.D programme

The candidates who have qualified for JRF in CSIR/UGC/ICMR/ICCSR/DBT or any other equivalent national examination will also need to appear for the entrance test

Candidates appearing for final year of the qualifying examination will be required to submit the proof of having passed in the examination latest by 15th July, 2011. If selected, their selection will be provisional and subject to production of proof of qualifying in the respective examination with the required cut-off percentage

Candidates claiming equivalence to any of the degrees mentioned in this advertisement will have to furnish satisfactory proof from appropriate authority. NBRC reserves the right to accept or reject it. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard

Concessions/reservation to SC/ST/PH candidates will be as per govt of India/UGC/ NBRC policy. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories are required to submit an attested copy of the certificate in support of their claim for reservation, at the time of appearing for the written test failing which they will not be permitted to appear for the written test

Candidates who are interested to pursue Integrated Ph.D or Ph.D programme at NBRC, are required to apply by giving details as per the application form available online and also a declaration to that effect as required there in. No scanned copies of documents in respect of student's qualifications etc need to be sent at the written test stage

Selection procedure: Short listed candidates after the written test will be called for a two-tier interview at NBRC. The final selection will be based on the performance in the interview. The dates for the interview will be intimated later, and will also be posted on NBRC website

The decision of the screening/selection committee will be final and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the applicant. The candidates finally selected for the Ph.D or Integrated Ph.D programmes will be eligible for scholarship as per NBRC rules and will be provided hostel accommodation on a sharing basis

Application procedure: The candidates are required to submit their duly filled-in applications online along with the requisite fee. The candidates are solely responsible for the correctness of figures and facts and veracity of the statements made in the application. The applications which are found either now or later on to have wrong or misleading facts or statements will be liable to be rejected. Even after admission is given if some information provided in the application is found to be misleading or wrong, such admission will be cancelled. The candidates have to give a declaration to this effect in the prescribed manner in the application

The candidates should also send the registration number allotted to them after they submit their application online, to the e-mail ID admissions2011@nbrc.ac.in. In all their future correspondence invariably they should quote this number as reference number

The application fee is Rs 700/- for general candidates and Rs 350/- for SC/ST/PH applicants. The application fee (non refundable) should be paid in the following manner; the requisite application fee should be sent by NEFT mode to our state bank of India, Manesar branch account number (given below) by providing the desired details to the respective bank from where you desire to make the transfer of funds. Once the transaction is completed you will get an UTR number from the banker and it should be entered at the relevant column in the online application form

As an alternative option, if you are not able to send the requisite fee by NEFT mode, you may send the fee by way of demand draft drawn from any branch of state bank of India, drawn in favour of director, National Brain Research Centre, on Manesar (code no 3370) or service branch New Delhi (code no 7687). The registration slip (that you get on submission of online application) and the demand draft should reach the office of registrar, National Brain Research Centre, Nainwal Mode, NH-8, Manesar-122050 latest by 18th February, 2011

There is no need to send any testimonial at the time of application scanned copies of all certificates/degrees from secondary (10th) onwards, and a passport-size photograph, will be required to be sent only by such candidates who are short listed to be called for the interview. These items should be sent to the registrar, National Brain Research Centre, Nainwal Mode, NH-8, Manesar-122050, distt Gurgaon (Haryana) latest by 15th April 2011
