Error 769 797 (LAN Disabled) error 797 modem not found BSNL BROADBAND

Win XP/2000 Windows 98

Error-769/797 (Local Area Network Disabled)   - Win XP/2000 Windows 98
Windows XP / 2000 : Right Click on My Network Places - click on Properties - Right click on Local Area Connections (under the caption LAN or High-Speed Internet) - Click on Enable
or click on Start - Select Settings - Network Connections - Right click on Local Area Connections - Click on Enable.
or Right click on My Computer - Select Properties - Select Hardware Tab - Select Device Manager Button - Click on the + mark by the side of Network Adaptors (it will expand) -

Check whether there is a Red X mark  or a Yellow ? mark on LAN Card.

If there is a RED CROSS MARK - right click on it and click enable.

If there is a YELLOW ? MARK - your LAN card has to be uninstalled and installed again using the driver with the help of an Hardware Engineer.

Windows - 98

Right click on My Computer - Select Properties -  Select Device Manager Button - Click on the + mark by the side of Network Adaptors (it will expand) -

Check whether there is a Red X mark  or a Yellow ? mark on LAN Card.
