A small synopsis on United India Insurance: United India Insurance was incorporated as a company on 18 February 1938 and was nationalized in 1972. The present form of United India Insurance was a merger of 22 companies (12 Indian Insurance Companies, 4 Cooperative Insurance Societies and Indian operations of 5 Foreign Insurers, besides General Insurance operations of southern region of LIC). With its Head Quarters at Chennai, it has 18300 work force spread across 1340 offices providing insurance cover to more than 1 Crore policy holders. It has variety of insurance products to provide insurance cover from bullock carts to satellites. United India Insurance Admin Officer Vacancies: There are a total of 300 Admin officer vacancies with category-wise break up as below: SC: 44, ST: 20, OBC: 81, Un-reserved:155. United India Insurance Admin Officer Salary: The insurance company is offering the Admin officers approx salary of Rs.27,000/- p.m in pay scale of Rs.17240/-840(14)-29000-910(4)-32640 and other admissible allowances. United India Insurance Eligibility for Admin Officer: Age Eligibility: (as on 31.12.2010) Min: 21 years, Max: 30 years. Age relaxations exist as per Govt. rule. Academic Eligibility: The 200 vacant positions have been categorized into four groups: Group-A: Commerce/Accounts background Min. 60% (55% for SC/ST) in ACS / ACWA / ACA or M.Com. Group-B: Legal background LLB or equivalent qualification with minimum three years experience as a practicing lawyer. (two years experience for SC/ST candidates. Group-C: Post Graduate in statistics/ Mathematics/Actuarial Science. Pass in atleast three papers of the examination conducted Actuarial Society of India (any of the papers out of CT – 1, CT -2, CT – 3, CT – 5 and CT -7) Group-D: Engineering background B.E / B.Tech in Agriculture Engineering or B.Sc (Agri) with 60% marks(55% for SC/ST candidates) Group-E: General background Graduation with 60% (55% for SC/ST candidates) or Post Graduation with minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST candidates) marks in aggregate from recognised University. Qualifications mentioned above should be from any recognised University / Institute duly approved by UGC / AICTE as the case may be.
